The following video clip discusses the effects of pushing when not grouped appropriately and why in team play just doing good damage can result in failure.
2) What is the "loser's column" ?
Does this look familiar?
It is the result of the "Loser's Column"
When you form the Loser's Column:
1) You make it easy for the other team to focus fire
2) You make hard to share damage
3) Due to 1 & 2, You tend to lose tanks creating an over-match for the other team

3) Use Formations to avoid the loser's column
Whenever you are moving and/ or stopped as a group, be in a formation.
Here are some examples of formations:

Note: If the group is lit, you may need to spread out to avoid artillery. Also, if you need to quickly get to a rally point, you may need to "beat feet" without moving in a formal formation. In this case, you should still avoid driving in a column. At least be staggered so if a tank stops or is tracked, it does not stop the rest of the team.
4) Advantages of Echelons
Fiets calls them "line ups". The proper term is Echelon. Echelons are common formations frequently used with obstructions like building corners, the end of hills, etc.
Advantages:
1) Easy to share damage. The lead tank should be the sturdiest in the group as they should take the most damage. When their health drops low, they can simply backup and the next tank will start taking damage. They can get their gun back in the fight by moving to the end of the echelon.
2) All guns can fire unblocked.
3) Easy to focus fire the first tank that comes around the obstacle.

5) Don't rock your tank
Think back to team play. When another tank was in front of you while corner fighting. Have they ever pulled forward and blocked your shot that would have penned? Have you ever shot a tank that pulled in front of you causing team damage? Has another tank ever pulled back leaving your tank's weak spots wide open to take damage?
It cannot be emphasized enough that when in formation, you DO NOT rock your tank, shake your turret, pull back to reload, etc.
Doing so will:

Doing so will:
- Block other guns
- Allow damage to weak spots that should be covered
- Cause team damage

7) Team Training ROOM EXERCISE
Choose a Tier10 that you play frequently and may be corner fighting in. Break into groups of six then divide each 6 into a platoon of three. Each group of 6 should find a corner to use as practice. Each platoon should alternate moving around a corner. Each tanker should practice inside, outside, and middle.

8) Team Training 2
Practice target priority and focus fire coming around a corner in a city map. Same tanks as above. Line up and rotate as shown in strat sketch. Only the echeloned corner team fires. Only fire twice. Hit first tank you see, then priority tank. Priority - Low HP, Easy to kill, and/or Dangerous. Other 3 tanks practice properly coming around a corner - they do not return fire.

9) Summary of key points
- If you are part of an attack, don't sit and farm. Get your health in and share damage.
- No Losers Column
- Use formations like echelons when appropriate.
- Don't do the pubbie shake.
